The Polish mafia: Kiełbasa (Sausage), Słowik (Nightingale), Pershing, Masa (Mass) and others. Reifying pseudonyms, heavy testimonies, crown witnesses and identity/appearance changes, robberies, murders, executions, protection money, business meetings in disguise of luxurious parties, holidays on Turkish Riviera, kitsch and glitz of the 1990s… Suits, hairstyle à la Miss Polonia 1993. Luxury within the framework of their imagination and capacities. The big world and exotic customs. Hard mafia code, killing for money, on principle or because bosses passed sentence. Madness and the amok of high calibre. Hazardous Polish wannabe…

Iza Szostak, a dancer and a choreographer. Graduated from Warsaw Ballet School and Codarts/Rotterdam Dance Academy in Holland. Was also an intern with Jan
Fabre/Troubleyn team in Belgium. An author of such performances as “RE//MIX – Merce Cunningham”, “Body. Child. Object.”, “Europa. Inquiry.”, “Excavatory ballet”, “National Affairs”. Interested in the perspective of new materialism, which provides some tools to perceive matter as active and instrumental. Creates choreography based on systems of communication between a body and an object. Transforms images originating in visual arts, cinema, anthropological studies and her own biography. Treats choreography as a tool for creating a new order. Co-creates Warsaw choreographers’ collective “Centrum w Ruchu”.
