Kračun

Theatre installation or an electromechanical object performance connecting new technologies and instruments of traditional theatre. Kračun is an associative composition inspired by the Slavic legend of the God of Sun, depicting the imprints of ancient feasts seeping into today´s urban dismal. Apolena Vanišová and Petr Krusha have been working on this concept for several years, enhancing it with each introduction and thus exploring the possibilities of actor-free theatre and its limits. In previous years, Kračun has been awarded a tribute of the festival …příští vlna/next wave… and the Theatre Newspaper Prize in category Puppet and Visual Theatre.
