Cécile Da Costa

Cécile Da Costa is a Prague based performer, choreographer and singer.

Awarded « Dancer of the year » by Czech Dance Platform 2018 and nominated by the Total Physical awards in Fringe 2017 for her performance « The Narrator », under Spitfire Company with whom she is collaborating as creator and performer since 2011.

In 2019 she premiered Roselyne, her first author theater production in Prague.
In 2021 Roselyne was selected as one of the three Czech productions to Twenty21 by Aerowaves – a European selection of the 20 top works in the field of physical theatre.

She runs workshops based on movements and voice in Czech and in Europe. She teaches regular classes for children, teenagers and for people with parkinson’s disease.
In her work she is searching for the connections between the vibrations of the body and the vibrations of the voice.
